Podcast: Nerve Flossing for Sciatic Trouble

While the causes of sciatic nerve pain or sciatica are numerous and not terribly well understood. Gliding Thumb for Neck and Jaw Bliss

This practice is a bit experimental. We utilize a Feldenkrais Method® Technique called gliding thumb throughout and rest in static Yin poses to integrate and rest. Our focus will be awareness and safety in the neck, jaw and shoulders. Often, if we have pain in one of those areas, we have some sensitivity in the others as well.

Pelvic Floor Breathing

If you suffer from hip pain, pelvic pain, low back pain, anxiety, chronic stress or all of the above, this needs to be a go to practice for you. Our pelvic floor is intricately tied to our sympatheic nervous system, otherwise known as fight or flight. Bell Hand

This is a sublime practice that is equal parts restorative Yin and meditation. We will take some absolutely delicious poses as we meditate on, of all things, the hand. Your nervous system dedicates a great deal of resources to your hand. By relaxing the hand, you can relax and self regulate your brain, your mind, your body. You won’t believe how fast this hour goes by, and how incredible you feel after.
