Stronger and More Flexible Hamstrings
More a workshop than a class, this practice features a slow and somatic warmup for the lower body. But once we rise to standing, expect some fiery leg work to strengthen the hamstrings and reduce stiffness. We peak in a supported hanumanasana (full splits). Along the way you will learn about how the body works as a unit and that isolating may not be the key to achieving pet poses like the splits.
Let’s Rock!
This class has all of the elements you could want out of a whole body 90 minute flow. We’ve got a luxurious warm up, a somatic intention (rocking), a slow burn to a sweaty peak. In addition to some of your favorite poses we will work some fun and challenging drills all with a whole body, participatory rocking action that will make so much sense in familiar poses. A scrumptious cooldown and short meditation round out our practice. What are you waiting for? Hit play and lets rock!
Nurture the Process
A wiggly, stretchy practice that stays low to the mat. You’ll get some time in some standard and adventurous hip openers but also explore some somatic movements and strength drills. As you move you will learn and be inspired by the biological process of learning. Just a touch of neuroscience!
Movement Snack: Hallway Flow
I originally developed this little movement snack for a client of mine who is an ICU nurse. On long overnight shifts she would coral her co-workers with their resistance bands to do this hallway flow with her.
Sublime Side Bends
This is the kind of wiggly, stretchy, feel-y practice that I love. We will focus our movement on more comfortable side bending, but I think that you will find that the side bend contributes to many other movements like shoulder comfort and hip mobility.
