Intro to Mindfulness
Mindfulness is just the most important thing that most of us aren’t doing. It has enormous health benefits and can be useful in addressing chronic stress, ongoing pain, anxiety, depression, immunity support and SO. MUCH. MORE.
This is a sublime practice that is equal parts restorative Yin and meditation. We will take some absolutely delicious poses as we meditate on, of all things, the hand. Your nervous system dedicates a great deal of resources to your hand. By relaxing the hand, you can relax and self regulate your brain, your mind, your body. You won’t believe how fast this hour goes by, and how incredible you feel after.
This class has all of the elements you could want out of a whole body 90 minute flow. We’ve got a luxurious warm up, a somatic intention (rocking), a slow burn to a sweaty peak. In addition to some of your favorite poses we will work some fun and challenging drills all with a whole body, participatory rocking action that will make so much sense in familiar poses. A scrumptious cooldown and short meditation round out our practice. What are you waiting for? Hit play and lets rock!
Standing Practice for Stronger Legs
A quick standing practice to fire up your legs. This practice targets the posterior, anti gravity muscles: calves, hamstrings, glutes and also the quads.
In the Loop
This is a super restorative-y Yin practice. We will be taking the common Supta Padangusthasana series (supine hand to big toe) in a VERY creative and supported way. As you melt into these poses I’ll get you into the loop as well about your hamstrings.
